They are the first step in providing access to a range of careers or further study. GCSEs have been used as a benchmark to judge student ability for more than 25 years. Many courses at university or college will require you to take GCSEs in certain subjects. If you have a particular aim in mind our Education and Careers Advisers could help, call them on for an appointment. You will study a Shakespeare play, a range of poetry and non-fiction texts and produce creative written texts. There will be supervised assessments in the classroom in addition to a final exam at the end of the year.
